I myself saw Balto in theatres because I was a 2 or 3 year old that like everybody at that age watches cartoons and animation.( Commonly know as the care free life) So as fate would have it, I went to watch Balto in theatrs. I can still remember watching it in theatres, not the whole movie but I've seen it so many times that it's easy to fill in the blanks. ( I am amazed I can still remember that specific point in my life since i have few memories that go so far back)


I would like to add that I was born American in Boston but moved to Canada when I was 6 thus that is how I saw Balto in theatres and later bought the film. Plus I would like to hear other stories like mine of how you got to watch Balto or buy the movie (DVD, VHS).

Well, I watched the movie in theatres when I was eight years old. At the age, I was always interested in dogs and wanted to be a dog trainer or a dog breeder when I grew up in that age, and then I heard of Balto, so I wanted to watch it to learn more about doggy stuff.

It still brings back memories, and now I own the movie on VHS. I wish I can own it on DVD though, but I can't find it anywhere...

That's a nice story and i hope to hear more stories like it.

The reason why you can't find it on DVD is because it was released back in 2002 i think it was, that was a while ago and i'm guessing few were actually shipped out ( a few as in a couple thousand maybe less)

I was young, I don't remember what age, but I was in Blockbustertm and my mom pulled Balto off the shelf and handed it to me. I watched it at home and forgot about the movie until I was six. I watched it again and got intrested. When I was nine I finally was a Balto Fanatic.

I have a similar story. I watched the movie in theatres, then got the VHS,(as with any new video that I buy I watched it like a hundred times) but of course being young I just moved on to a different film since I basically grew up with all these Disney and other cartoon videos. I watched the VHS from time to timeover the years, in fact I only learned of the BaltoII video on a visit to the US on the Cartoon channel (not by my own free will). I don't remember watching it but I sure that I did. I didn't really start to become a big fan of Balto till recently when I learned of a BaltoIII. Also I became a fan because I just love Wolves and have become a big wolf fan myself.

Well for me, I had pretty much all the universal movies made circa 1995, so preveiws for 'Balto' were always on the tapes before the actuall movie showed. I started to get really curious about the movie, so once when I went over to my older cousin's house I realized she had an old copy of the movie. I begged her to let me watch it, and since then I always watched it whenever I went over there. ^^

When I saw Balto I was maybe four or five and I loved every part of it! I was always really interested in the Balto statue in central park and my mother happened to find the movie Balto. I am still in love with the movie when ever I watch it I feel really happy.
