I think that Balto was an original film based around the idea of haveing one person (in this case a half wolf, half dog outcast), usually someone who is disliked, to do something that nobody else can. it's a good chldrens film and somewhat ok for adults. It was unfortunatly unrecognized for what it actually overshadowed by Toy Story because it was mainly under publisized (little advertizment) at least that added to it.

Anyways it had a easy plot to follow, I think it was left open ended or it could have stayed at a happy ending (the cartoon portion not the real time portion), it was loosly based on a true story which is ok I don't have any complaints about any part of the movie.
